Charlottenborg Spring Exhibition 1997
I was very happy, when the jury of Charlottenborg Spring Exhibition accepted one of my works.
At the same time as I had a 9 x 9 meter canvas situated at the floor in Gallery North to pick up traces from the visitorsof a show called “Step In”, I was running a project in Valby.
In the staircase leading to my studio I had covered all the steps with canvas and placed an amount of black pigment at the entrance. During a period of 12 days I had all the horizontal surfaces covered with black footsteps, while the perpendicular parts stayed white. New traces was spray-fixed in a daily routine. When the canvas eventually was unfolded as a 7 meters long image it associated very much to a Donald Judd minimalistic sculpture
